Found another starter in bits in a box - exactly the same - CEM on the outer case, and a chrome sticker with nothing on it on the body.

Quick update on the Dakota starter motor issue.

Couldn't find a new replacement anywhere (to date), so about to embark upon the repair/rewind route. Has anyone used the services of London & Essex Auto Electrics?

I have used West Country Winding's to wind stators before with good results

While awaiting assessment of starter motor, have thought to try to replace the kickstarter, which I managed to shear near the knuckle joint.

Does anyone have a complete item for sale?

Failing that, does anyone know whether a similar item from an RC/Nordwest/Saturno will fit?
