bought a 20/6 dellorto air filter from Treatland in San Francisco and came in 4 days. cheaper than Italy, go figure

Drewpy. The holes for the studs are too close so I will need to slot them . The flange will need to be machined at an angle otherwise the carb will be at a steep angle.
I have fitted new points and a condense and need to re time the ignite I don't have a timing disc so I need to know a measurement in mm or imperial BTDC. HELP.

I remember now, I took out a stud and re-drilled it. your way will work too. ;)
never had an issue with the flange though. Tried it the other way?
I borrowed a dial gauge and confirmed TDC. on my '73 the timing is 15mm BTDC. you should have 2 marks on the mag which indicate those. bend coat hanger wire and use an existing case thread to make a pointer on the tdc mark. I finished it off with real world timing using my strobe light and tipex for marks.
